Post 10: The end

My dear friends: Today is a special day, the end of my experience in the "blogging experience".

Currently, today is a difficult day for be studentd of journalism :( The academic charge.. it seems to look dark because we have many tasks in the different courses: Radio, audiovisual and the most difficult, photojournalism.

But the cheer up doesn´t fall. The courses and the private life, we have many things in our mind, and for this in occasions I think leave the race, but I can´t do it, because we must think that it's just a little moment, the efforh is worh it.

But, I must to say that my experience in general was good. I like so much write freely in this blog, because we can choose topics for talk between us. Also, the teacher helps in every moment for the class.

I think that my writing skills have developed in the moment that we must write about different topics, like the grammar and pronouncing words. is a good technique for learn english this blog!!

I would like write in the future about breaking news, in the moment, the most important news, it would be atractive for the special situation, like in a edition room office, like in the newspaper or TV.

I would like inlcude in the future topics like music or maybe, sing a song in class hahaha. But I think that we could learn some words in english when we sing. Our favourites groups or anothers. 

But finally, I would like talk and say my joy in this blog and course of english. Thank you!! :)

Crisis at JGM

Well, the crisis at JGM is a very difficult topic to talk. I really feel shame for the situation that lives the foreign workers in our university. 

In different occasions, I love talk about this topic, because is something that a few persons known. The bad terms in the work, like the space for lunch or the conditions like the contract or the low salary for the haitians workers.

This year, I can see this problem. The company manager of the proyect "Bicentenario Juan Gómez Millas" that hires workers, like in this situation, haitians. The chileans take advantage and show that like the "big boss chilean" are bad persons. 

Is very difficult talk about this topic, because people from the company manager of this proyect, don't like talk about the bad conditions laboral of the haitians. But I feel happiness, because I investigated and I can talk with the boss in the university and I pointed out, that If the situation continues, I was going to report to "Inspección del Trabajo". 

Most fortunately, the last week I visit the space for lunch for the haitians workers, and I saw, that the showers wew fixed. For things like this, I feel that the journalism can change realities. 

Is important repeat: The bad conditions for the workers in JGM are really worrying.

A Subject I've enjoyed studying this semester: Photojournalism

A Subject I've enjoyed studying this semester: Photojournalism

It's a practical and theoretical subject, but is more practical. We must take photos in different places, people or situations, depends on the topic that we will work. I chose this subject because is required in the schedule, and also, I chose the teacher, Marcela Anabalón because the last year I had another subject with her.

Sincerely, I wouldn't change anything about this course, because I love the practice and the liberty that we have to work different topics. The teacher is a very responsable person in this course, she check out all the photos and written works. All the classes, she talks about the importance of the photography in the life, and for the practice to our work as journalists.

My favourite aspect of this course is the obligations and responsability that required, because the teacher is very demanding and this motivates the students. For example, this semester, we needed to choose a topic for the semester and take photos. Currently I can research the topic about migration in Chile, and I take photos to people from Haití, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia and other countries.

I can see that all the knowledge about photography I have is for my teacher and the excelent way to teach the subject in this course.

My favourite website

Ok my friends. Today I'm going to talk about my favourite website: YouTube!

This website began in fabruary, the year 2015 with PayPal. YouTube was founded by Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim, three friends and students of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, USA. Also, YouTube is a type of site of video hosting service. 

The importance of YouTube is very important, because is the second most popular website and other important description is that each minute, YouTube upload more than 400 hours of videos. 

YouTube have different features like video technology, user features, content accesibility, localization and YouTube TV. Sometimes you can do direct shows, I really love the direct shows of "El Rubius" (he is from Spain and is the most important youtuber in the world).

I really visit this website every week and every days. I like so much, because I can see the new videos of my groups or suscriptions. Also, you can comment the videos or give "like" if you like this content.

Honestly, I really love YouTube because is a website very organized for me. You can search videos for study, for the party, for sleep, for play basketball, IT´S PERFECT!! And I really love because you can see videos about kitchen, make-up, sports, art, films, for study!! (Thank you YouTube for teach me english during my childhood).

The feminist movement

Ok my friends, today I'm going to talk you about a very important topic and interesting for me and for the society: the feminist movement.

First, I think that it is very important to talk you about the history of this movement. The principal female theorist for this topic, is Simone de Beauvoir, she was a french political activist and social theorist. 

She wrote different books and articles like "The second Sex" a very important text about the feminist existentialism. I like other women in this revolution for the feminist movement, also for example Julieta Kirkwood, a chilean woman. She wrote "Ser política en Chile: las feministas y los partidos". I like this book so much because she talks about the world of the women in the political aspect of life. Specifically, in the decision power of the men in Chile, and in the political left.

Also, I would like talk to you about the importance for me of the feminist movement in my life. I think that is very difficult the life for a women in this world. Regrettably, we were born in a very male sexist world, were the men have the power of decision for the family and the politics, and the religion, or social culture.

Now, I want to tell you that I hate when men say "feminazi". I recommend to every person that say this word, read an article about the fight of the feminist movement, because  it insults a fight of years.

To conclude this post, I must say that the power of the women is very important for the revolution and the fight for our rights. I want to invite everyone to respect each other.

My favourite photography

Hi my little friends!!

In this post, today I'm going to talk you about my favourites photos. This is very difficult for me because I love the pictures, and choose one, is complicated for me.

In this photography, you can see Vladimir Ilich Ulianov "Lenin" and his cat (I don't know his name :( ) Regrettably, I don't know the photographer of this picture, because is very old.

I like so much the politics and this man is a very important person for the revolution in the world, specifically in Rusia (the past URSS).

This picture is a very important for me. In the photography, you can see "Panchito" my old cat. He died the past year (2016) for a very complicated health diagnosis. In the hospital vet, Panchito died for a horrible negligence, is so sad remember this situation.

In this photography I feel love. In the picture, appear my sister, father and mother in the Partido Socialista. This situation was in the fundraising dinner for the campaign for the elections FECH. With other friends and partner.

Specifically, is very important for me the three photographs, because they are present: my family and the things that I love: pets and politic.

Movies or series

Ok my friends, in this post I'm going to talk you about the series that I think, are the best in the world of internet with Netflix!

First, honestly, I don't like watching movies at the cinema. I feel like a earthquake the sound in the seat with the specials effects of the film. Also, I don't like watching movies in the computer, because it's uncomfortable and my eyes... they suffer with the light of the notebook.

But, the last year, I met something really beautiful, special, and significative for me. I saw the series "House of Cards" on Netflix... It was like a loving moment or charmed, really, it was the best option to see in my life. This series, with the protagonists Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and his wife, Claire (Robin Wright).

The series talks about topics like the politics, corruption, love, the importance of journalism, the relationships in this world, and the different situations that we lives in this world.

I think that Frank Underwood represents the typical man in the politics, he is a complicated person , manipulator, spiteful and hateful with the family, friends and coworkers. 

Also, I can tell you about the other series that I love! Sense8 (Wachowski sisters), Mr. Robot, Orange Is The New Black and The Big Bang Theory. And the film that I love is "Titanic" and "Machuca" a chielan film of Andrés Wood.

Finally, I just can recommend to you that you must see the new 5 season of House Of Cards, the premiere will be the 30th May 2017 in Netflix. I give you the link for you!!! You must see House Of Cards

My favourite pieces of technology

Well, to be honest, I didn't like the smartphone in the past years because my friends were writing or reading or listening to music every moment and in this situations i felt so uncomfortable for the relationship. Actually, I use two devices to call: the iPhone and the old cellphone.

During 2014 my best friend made me a present, the iPhone 4. She knew my situation that I didn't like this objects, but, with this smartphone, I could have Whatsapp and talk with my friends, family and other persons.

From 2015 I use all the day when I stay outside my house my smartphone because I read news, messages from Whatsapp, e-mails from university and work. But in the night I don´t use it because it doesn't let me  sleep and dream.

I like this piece of technology because I can be alert to news, breaking news or messages from family, work or friends.

I must say this, I would love to be without it. For this situation, I use my old cellphone, it´s just call, send messages and have alarm, and the iPhone I use when I go to the university, but in my house I avoid this piece of technology.

Why did I choose this career?

Well, honestly, I cannot say that journalism was in my real options to study when I was studying in high school. I never thought that journalism would be my future work.

First, in high school I believed that Social Work should be my future decision like an university student. But, in the 2014, the score in the PSU made me change the option and choose Public Administration, basically because my sister in law and other friends from the Partido Socialista, study this career. So, I said, it´s my opportunity, I can study with mi political friends and my family If I need help in the courses.

So, I studied Public Administration all the year 2014 and in October, I ´did not like this career, and I search other programs to study and one that I really liked. The choice was between history or journalism, but the program to be a journalist made me in love with this work.

Today, I can say that I love journalism, in this space I can write, read and see a lot things about the topics that I like. An example, is the politics, the public education, the health, the horrible inequality in Chile and in the world and other topics that interest me.

Part of my life

Monserrat Gloria Lorca Pavez, born on November 14th 1995, in the city of Santiago. Third daughter of Manuel and Gloria. She studied her whole primary school in San Bernardo, at Inmaculada Concepción school. Later on, she continued her secondary education in San Miguel, at the San Cristóbal College High School.

During 2014, and after 7 months in the career of Public Administration,she decided change the future and choose journalism in the Universidad de Chile. Today, she studies this in the ICEI. Meanwhile, in the summer of the 2015, she worked in MQLTV and U-Report, in this place she met different people of the world of journalism, like journalist boys and girls of differents communication media.

During 2012, in august she decided to sign in to the Partido Socialista. This choice, changed her life in 180°. In this place she knew different people that were very important persons in her life, a boyfriend and her currently bestfriend. Also, she studied and learnt about politics, writing different articles or reading books of authors like Lenin, Marx, Harnecker, etc.

For five years, Monserrat studies different topics in the Partido Socialista like the sense of democracy, feminism and the process like elections in the country por presidents and another political posicions in the government.

Today, Monserrat lives in San Miguel with her parents, grandmother, sister and eight cats (really). In the free times she likes going to parties, celebrate with friends and dance or eat a lot food like burgers or pizzas.

She likes the basketball and practices this when she can in the week, also, she must be very careful for this because she suffered two sprain playing in the court.

The last time I did something new

The last week I went to the Parque O´Higgins, in Santiago. In this place I eat a new food that I don´t know about this. With my friend, we eat a very typical Colombian food. The name is “cholada”. It´s a very delicious dessert in Colombia. In a small glass, it´s include fruit like banana, apples and grapes, with condensed milk and sausages like strawberry. The dessert call names "cholada" was a very delicious food and good experience for me, because it´s new for me.  Also, the seller was very happy for a chilean eats this typical food.

English 3 ICEI

In this course, I hope to learn english and be able to speak and write about different things, like the journalism. 

I would like write in english, because in the next years, this will be a condition in the work. 

So, if I want to do the practice in (for example) El Mercurio, here, I will need talk and write with a correct form, for write a corrects chronicles or news, it's what I would like to do.
